Job Vacancy – Architect / Graduate, immediate start.

Due to an increase in exciting local and regional projects, we are seeking an Architect or confident Graduate to hit the ground running, helping us with our current workload.

This role is a temporary contract position for an initial 3 months, but this could be extended, or a full-time position may become available for the right applicant if future workload increases.

Applicants should:

Have solid architectural design skills, with an understanding of construction costs. At Arcon, we provide solution based designs that achieve brief, budget and build-ability.

Have experience with commercial architecture, in particular adaptive re-use type projects.

Have practical communication skills, and not be afraid to pick up the phone to talk through issues, taking the lead when appropriate.

Be ethical, self-motivated and able to contribute to a professionally minded small practice.

Have practical experience with architect- level, New Zealand working drawings/contract documentation.

Good Archicad skills are an absolute must. Artlantis and other computer presentation methods would be an advantage.
